My preoccupation is the natural world.  I seek to capture its ephemeral beauty, intelligence and struggles. I explore personal themes of love, loss and life experience.

My medium is plaster. Mixed with water and poured into voids once occupied by some wisteria, sun spurge or pheasant berry, it sets, warm to the touch. Expanding ever so slightly, the setting plaster captures the most infinitesimal botanical detail. Some casts call for colour, others for the play of light and shadow alone, and yet others for the glorification of gilding.

Whether foraging in the wild places of Wicklow or growing plants in the studio garden, I have the luxury each day of working in tune with the natural world.  I am a full time artist at Glendarragh Artists Studios in Wicklow and a member of Women Eco Artist Dialogue.  Professional biography available on request.
